frigging Boston

I am extremely pissed off... I got into Beantown around 8pm on Saturday night... I Had Packed light, and was rocking my favorite sneakers…

As soon as I got into town I was told that, the places we where going to had, no sneaker rules in effect… So I pondered, pondered some more, thought about it, then decided I needed new shoes anyway... I copped a Charlie card, made it to downtown crossing, from south street station, hit Macy’s and got a white pair of shoes..

My memories of Cambridge somehow always involve lies from my friends, “yeah just get off at Kendall, on the Redline, and you will be at the crib in 5 min.” Which I now understand to mean, "Get off at Kendall and walk for about 50 minutes" , I am pretty sure the real reason why Ivy League kids are so successful is because they are particularly good liars!

In truth I think I have walked up and down Mass Avenue more than any other street in this country. After some bad directions and 45 minutes, of walking around I finally found my host, and it was late... (By late I mean Boston late, because they are so cool their clubs close at 2 am)... But I Digress..

In order to save time, we decided to break from the brokeassdudes protocol and take a taxi into the city.
The thing that I really hate about this trip is that, to save time I changed into my new somewhat funky ill pimping, extremely comfortable (despite first wear) new white, stylish, good looking, envy inducing new shoes… On the cab, ride downtown… The cab driver upon realizing that I had left one of my sneakers, in the car decided to drive off with my shoe. Why would he do that?

I think he was hating on my NY swagger… I love these shoes… if you have met me more than 1nce in the last 4 years you have probably seen me clocking these sneakers at least 1nce... I love them... My most favouritist, beautifullest, bestest, comfortableset, cool ass looking shoes EVER! I mean I have had so many sneakers throughout high school, always had a thing for Adidas Shoes... and these rank 1 (after the white Addidas Kobe’s-> 96, Grey spaceshoe looking Kobe’s -> 2000 and Black Kobe’s -> 99– well those where my brothers, but I used to steal them all the time, and front like they where mine).

I have had these shoes throughout all my travels, girlfriends, apartments, weight changes; I even stopped playing ball in them to preserve them. Damn I loved them more than my transformers pencil case (the one with the button that you would press and a sharpener would pop out, press another.. secret compartment, etc -> 86).

This Best Week is turning into worst week; I hope that taxi driver is looking good; dammit, I should have just stayed at home...

At least my beautiful classic Addidas Shoes would have still been here…
